MEET THE SPEAKERS

Some of the best European LARP designers and educators will join us at the PoRtaL 5 Conference to share their experiences, insights and best practices.

Mads Lunau (Denmark) is a co-founder and principal of the Østerskov Efterskole, a partly government funded, partly private school located in Hobro, Denmark, that uses live-action role-playing as a teaching method for its 90 pupils aged 14 to 18.

Mikołaj Wicher (Poland) is a professional larp-maker and designer from the Liveform/Dziobak Studio. He is a part of the team behind international block-busters College of Wizardry, Fairweather Manor and Convention of Thorns. They usually take a castle and turn it into a playground for a hundred or so players, for a three or four days. Tickets are usually sold out quickly, even though they cost more than 400 euros per person. 

Lujza Kotryová (Czech Republic) is a game designer, larp maker and gamificator from the Court of Moravia company with ten years of experience in making LARPs, RPGs and table top games.

Alessandro Giovannucci (Italy) is an academic lecturer and larp designer, one of the founders of Chaos League and co-author of Southern Way – New Italian LARP manifesto, as well as organizer of high-budget games (Black Friday, New Atlantis) and LARP festivals.They usually take up a whole village on the Italian side of the Alps and turn it into a postapocalyptic, historical or some other playground for more than 70 people, for a couple of days. Their events are usually sold out quickly too, even though they cost more than 100 euros per person.

Niclas Hell (Sweden) is a larp designer, working with storyfication, edularps and alternate reality games. His speciality are edularps about politics and history.

Goran Dimić (Croatia) works in the kindergarten Čigra in Zagreb and loves every minute of it. While not a passionate larper himself (yet), he rather enjoys role-playing in other forms. And does entertaining presentations, too. 

Tina Lee Odinsky Zec (Croatia) is the director at Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Zagreb School of Economics and Management. She is currently completing her doctoral work on Visualizing Social Entrepreneurship in Croatia: Micro-Meso-Macro Level Analysis. Along with her teaching and researching activities, she consults and designs projects with impact. Originally from New Jersey, USA, she resides in Zagreb with her husband and two talented children, who both enjoy larping.

Christos Panagiotopoulos (Greece) is a LARP organizer and enthusiast from Greece. 

Ivan Žalac (Croatia) is a LARP designer, writer and organizer from Zagreb, with plenty of experience in writing and running games of various themes, formats and sizes. He also writes and edits the only Croatian blog about LARP in English: Diary of a Crolarper. 

Miroslav Wranka is a co-founder and a Lead Game Designer at the Terrible Creations, as well as a LARP evangelist.
